Art is in Observation-Creation
Destruction-Reconstruction
Carefully rehearsed symphonies
Gleefully mistaken for what they aren't
And someday may be.
Street photographers
Making love to the pavement under their feet,
Tilting and shaking
Under the pounding tread
Of their subjects.
Weekend warriors,
Bashing their colored water
Onto the paper, slashing strokes
Brush at the ready
Alert eyes on guard for
The next scene.
Rejoice and celebrate!
Wild abandon runs through your veins,
Still lives and bowls of apples,
Toe to toe with screaming Bebop.
Sidewalk Singers
Strumming out song after song,
Face dark with sun and
Passion. Pennies rattle
In cups, urging frenetic
figures from their fingers.
The first dance of the Child,
Shaky steps half walk,
Half run, half everlasting fall
Mad grin stretched under
Ecstatic eyes as the rhythm
Fills her body.
Scream with delight!
Reach out your fingers,
Feel the grass between your toes.
Art is life lived
Find yourself and find others
Circle of stars, rushing past your eyes.
Dip your hand into creation,
Cup fingers to catch all you can
And drink before it rushes from
your palm.

So vibrant and fresh!
Next time anyone starts up a "what is art" conversation, I'm gonna refer them to this.

there is more.
As for those "what is art" discussions, it's better then "what is an artist"

<f3 freedom.
...and as far as being slow in responding, I'd be a pot-calling-the-kettle-black to complain.
